President Obama and the stairs in China

Obama has transiting Jupiter forming an antiscia aspect to his natal Juno.

I know I fly in the face of opinion about Juno, but my take is that it has to do with designed items.  At first I thought it was decorative items, which, like house paint, could be very mundane.  Then, in my research, I found that Juno corresponded with other very ordinary things like doors, roofs....and stairs.  It's hard to think of a defining category, but, so far, designed items comes closest.  And the stairs, in Obama's chart, are represented by Juno.

Transiting Jupiter is conjunct his natal Juno.  Again, I fly in the fact of opinion about Jupiter.  It's not that I think Jupiter is UNlucky or UNabundant, but (conservatively speaking) half the time Jupiter appears by transit or in a picture, it's about out of towners or out of town activity.

And that's what happened from a symbolic standpoint.  Jupiter was forming an aspect to his natal Juno and he had an issue in China with stairs.

It's not that Juno is never about brides: when Obama had transiting Saturn on his Juno a couple of years ago, he interrupted a wedding.

The other component of what happened in China was the mis-communication, the misunderstanding about the stairs.  You could chalk this off to Mercury Rx, but something else is happening.  Transiting Chiron is with his natal Neptune.  This is on my research desk right this minute.  Among the manifestations of Neptune/Chiron is misunderstandings, including misunderstandings based on language differences.  

When George Washington was first starting out, he was arrested by the French for poking around their outposts around the Ohio River.  Washington was sent to reconnoiter the Ohio River, where the British and French were competing to build a fort.  He led an ambush, killing a French officer and was forced to surrender, with the terms of surrender written in a foreign language (French) he didn't understand and interpreted incorrectly, insisted truthful Washington.   The specifics of the incident which led to the French Indian War, which in turn developed into the Seven Years War, fought by the world powers of four continents, are still debated.  Progressed Neptune was conjunct natal Chiron.
