Obama & the Election 20/20 and Looking Forward

I made the wrong call about the outcome of the election. Altho Obama had better pictures in his solar return than McCain, I was stuck on the trine of Jupiter in Capricorn to Saturn symbolizing the older candidate. I'm still scratching my head about it.

That said, I couldn't be happier that Obama won. On election night, I went to bed early as usual, but the roar in the street at 11PM woke me up. It was so exciting.

In his solar return, Obama had Sun=Jupiter=Uranus (16' orb/64H) on the Mars/Kronos midpoint and Sun/Apollon=Aries (6' orb/64H). McCain, on the other hand had Kronos=Mars/Saturn (3' orb/64H) and Sun=Saturn/Kronos (6' orb/64H). Saturn/Kronos is tricky, tho. Queen Elizabeth II and Ronald Reagan both have that picture natally.

Looking forward: Whether or not the Aquarius rising chart is accurate (I think it is, because when the North Node was on that Asd. he was being feted in Europe like he'd already won), Obama has Jupiter and the South Node in Aquarius. They make friends. Sometimes their friendships come back to bite them, but that not withstanding, they make friends with just about anybody and I think that is his greatest asset.

But Obama won the election with the south node conjunct his sun. As a rule, that's not a good indication. Either it indicates a loss at the time or an outcome that's not positive. Maybe it's about the loss of his grandmother on election eve.

Ronald Reagan won an election with the South Node conjunct his sun. And there were lots of people who thought that it was great at the time and lots of people who still believe it was great.

In his natal chart Obama has Kronos=Admetos=Vulcanus=Pallas=Aries (7' orb/64H) which indicates either a limited role in a major leadership position (clearly not the case), a one-term president or a truncated term.
