Stationary natal and progressed planets
In the course of Chiron research, I'm studying King George today.
He had Chiron=Zeus, which I can't comment about yet which was exact when the Spanish joined the French effort for the colonies.
He also had Sun=Vesta/Chiron
Left his family for a while to live on a farm with no amenities
But here's some interesting stuff we can learn from his chart about stationary natal and p. planets:
He was born on a Zeus station. His reign was marked by wars--the 7 Year War, the American Revolution. The Revolutionary War is why we remember him.
When the Revolutionary war began, his P. Pluto turned direct! From his horoscope's point of view, the event was a huge financial change. In pursuing war with the American colonists, George III believed he was defending the right of an elected Parliament to levy taxes, rather than seeking to expand his own power or prerogative
Taxation may have even been the big issue. And that may even be why conservatives are so stuck on that--it goes back to one of the big principles on which the country was founded.
Here are a couple of interesting tids about stationing planets:
Both Dahmer and Van Gogh had P. Chiron and P. Hades stationing at the same time, altho not in aspect with each other.
Dutchess of Windsor was born on a Chiron station.
My father's Saturn in Pisces turned stationary rx at some point around 1943 when he was forced into a labor camp.
King William IV Saturn SRx 11/1791 Between 1791 and 1811 he lived with his mistress, the actress Mrs Jordan
Louis XIV P. Saturn D 1688; demolishes old walls of Paris and plants trees instead (Berlin wall demolished with T. Saturn conjunct T, Neptune)
Chaim Weizman N. Poseidon stationary Rx.
Guy de Maupessant Born w stationary Uranus With a natural aversion to society, he loved retirement, solitude, and meditation. WROTE OF MADNESS..some say autobiographical. Wrote of hypocrisy and snobbery of upper classes, bourgousie and church. Mother independent-minded woman, risked social disgrace to obtain a legal separation from her husband. From his early education connected with the church he retained a marked hostility to religion, deplored the ecclesiastical atmosphere, its ritual and discipline. Finding the place to be unbearable, he finally got himself expelled in his next-to-last year.
Jacques Brel born one day before Saturn stationary Rx
Jacques Brel P. Apollon D 1972 Signs 30 year record contract; makes 4 films
????P. Cupido D 1958--wife and kids moved back to Belgium without him...his marriage definitely changed...but he stayed married....successful but not a turning point year. ????
????P. Neptune direct 1960....big performance in Paris...could be said to be a turning point. He loved sailing but no sailing events in 1960.
Lousa May Alcott
P. Pluto stationary D
At one point in 1857, unable to find work and filled with such despair, Alcott contemplated suicide. In 1858, her younger sister Elizabeth died, and her older sister Anna married a man by the name of John Pratt. This felt, to Alcott, to be a breaking up of their sisterhood
