MIDPOINTS IN MUSICIANS' CHARTS

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is in the stratosphere of Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Beatles (particularly Lennon and McCartney), Elvis, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby--which configurations does she share with them?

Venus/Apollon symbolizes music. In Gaga’s chart, the Ascendant=Venus/Apollon with an orb of just 22’. 6 of the 8 musical stars in the sample had a personal point—Sun, MC, Asd. or the Aries point—on the Venus/Apollon midpoint.  BOB DYLAN HAS NATAL VENUS/APOLLON PICTURE

One of the most common planetary pictures in the natal chart of artists and for art events is Mars/Cupido .  Gaga has Mars=Cupido=Aries (43’ orb at the widest point). Although Michael Jackson had Jupiter=Mars/Cupido, it’s not as emphasized a placement as Gaga’s and interestingly, as often as this picture occurs in the natal charts of artists and when art activity occurs, hers was the only chart among the eight in the sample with the configuration so strongly placed.
Cupido/Kronos often appears among the charts of leading artists. Altho Gaga does not have the midpoint picture, four of the eight superstars had Cupido=Kronos or a personal point on the midpoint.

Paul McCartney had P. Sun=Cupido/Kronos when discovered by the manager who catapaulted Beatles to fame
Cupido/Hades appears in the charts of artists who appeal to a mass audience, as opposed to those involved with opera or museums and 5 of the 8 in the sample had Cupido=Hades or a personal point on the midpoint.  (Jones had Mercury=Cupido/Hades )Gaga has Juno=Cupido/Hades (17’ orb) as well as Juno in her first house, emphasizing her strong fashion statement. As far as the general fame/success indicators, she was born with MC=Apollon=Vulcanus (1 degree 7’ orb). 5 of the 8 also had a personal point with Apollon/Vulcanus.
But what makes her unique and appealing at this moment in time? Also on her Ascendant is a Hades/Admetos configuration. Among the RPP delineations is “to be connected with people who are in need”. In this astrologer’s opinion it’s very literally the pet name she’s given her fans: ‘little monsters’. She’s got Sagittarius rising, Saturn and Uranus in the first house, the Sun in Aries and Mars on the Aries point—that’s the disciple and muscle to make her way in any industry and the guts to assert she was “Born this Way”, imparting to others who might feel like outcasts, the courage to be themselves. She’s yet to have her Saturn return, which will contact her Ascendant as well as Saturn in Sagittarius, but she’s already expressed strong opinions on the damage done by organized religion and likens her performances to “pop cultural church”.

The timing of her debut on the world stage could not have been better. Born with Apollon=Jupiter/Cupido (19’ orb) and the potential for a wide reach artistically, when the progressed picture was 1’ from exact, it marked the timing of her first world-wide tour, and during her 2nd tour, comprised of over 200 shows over 1 ½ years, seen by 2.5 million people and grossing $227mm—more than any debut headline artist ever—the progressed picture of Apollon=Jupiter/Cupido was exact.

Elvis also had Ascendant=Venus/Apollon (7’ orb) along with Uranus and the Part of Fortune. Michael Jackson had Sun=Venus/Apollon (13’—19’ orb depending on which chart is used) as did Bing Crosby (52’ orb) as well as Frank Sinatra whose chart contained a Sun/Cupido/Hades Mars/Jupiter configuration at the Venus/Apollon midpoint (1 degree 7’ orb at the widest point). Paul McCartney’s chart contained M=Venus/Apollon (8’ orb). Altho Madonna and John Lennon had some placement on the Venus/Apollon midpoint (Vesta and Juno respectively), they were not personal points. That means that 6 of the 8 musicians (71%) in the sample had a personal point on the Venus/Apollon midpoint.  (Beyonce has Venus=Apollon 64H/1' orb)

Paul McCartney had P. Vulcanus=Sun/Cupido when Beatles fame began

MUSIC AL ICONS PART 2: CLASSICAL MUSIC GREATS
The  composers selected were Brahms, Debussy, Puccini, Ravel, Satie, Schubert, Schumann and Stravinsky.  They were chosen because the accuracy of their birth times were AA rated the while some of the greats, such as Mozart and Beethoven were excluded because the accuracy of their horoscopes were rated B lower. (Mozart added laer)
Venus/Apollon--a midpoint picture common in the charts of musicians--appeared by major aspect in 4 of the 8 or 50% of the charts:
Puccini had MC=Venus/Apollon (34' orb) and Schumann had Aries=Venus/Apollon (42' orb).  Sun=Venus/Apollon appeared in the charts of Schubert (46' orb) and Ravel (26' orb) who also had Venus//Apollon (3' orb).   3 of the 8 had Venus/Apollon by minor aspect* bringing the total to 87%.
(Ex. Brahms Venus=Apollon=Aries (64H/11' orb)

Mars/Cupido and Jupiter/Cupido-- symbolizing art in general--each appeared in 3 of the 8 charts by major aspect.  Schubert had Jupiter=Cupido (47'), Schumann had MC=Jupiter/Cupido (1 degree 11' orb) and Satie had Aries=Jupiter/Cupido.  (2 of the 8 had minor aspects*.)    Debussy had Sun=Mars/Cupido (27' orb), Stravinsky had Aries=Mars/Cupido (51' orb) and Ravel had Mars//Cupido (38').  Mozart Jupiter=Cupido 22 1/2 --10' orb.

Apollon/Vulcanus--the midpoint picture symbolizing fame in general--was on the Aries point in Schumann's chart (7' orb), on Asd./Jupiter/ Node (30'  orb) in Satie's chart and with the Stravinsky's Sun/ MC /Asd (48' orb).  Debussy had Venus=Apollon/Vulcanus (15' orb).    Jupiter/Uranus--symbolizing luck in general-- was in 3 of the 8 charts; it was on the Aries point in Puccini's chart (2' orb) and Schumann's chart (51' orb) and Debussy had MC=Jupiter/Uranus (22' orb).

*All these pictures appeared by major aspect.  But so called 'minor aspects' deserve a mention.  The small dots on the 90 degree dial indicate aspects smaller than 22 1/2.  They are 11 1/4 and 5 5/8.  When these aspects appear between planets or in a midpoint picture in natal charts or solar returns, they are--in this astrologer's experience--as dynamic as aspects 22  1/2 degrees or greater.  Debussy's chart is an excellent illustration.   We've already pointed out that Debussy's chart contained Venus=Apollon/Vulcanus by 22 1/2 degree aspect.  When we look at the same chart using the aspects indicated by the 'little dots', the complete picture was Sun=Venus=Apollon=Vulcanus.   Next time you look at a chart, check out the smaller aspects.  When you know which midpoints you're looking for, they'll increase the possibilities of identifying those pictures.
