It seems likely, though, that she merely did not forbid him to hope and insisted that they remain circumspect."  She announced her engagement to someone else when T. 'Scarce one person out of twenty marries his first love, and scarce one out of twenty of the remainder has cause to rejoice at having done so. What we love in these early days is generally rather a fanciful creation of our own than a reality. We build statues of snow and weep when they melt.' (Letter written when T. South node conjunct N. Georg Jensen spare designs; simple lines

Multiple manifestations:

Rudyard Kipling
  • Early unrequited passion; broken engagement,
  • Married "commandress in chief".
  • His parents didn't like her when they realized they would marry "a good man spoiled"
  • Thereafter wrote about solitary men, widowers and bachelors.
  • Carrie Kipling was "one of the most despised women of her generation"
  • Thereafter wrote about solitary men, widowers and bachelors.
The annulment of their unconsummated marriage caused a scandal.  His wife testified publicly that her private parts were displeasing to him and the inference was made that he was impotent.

John Ruskin knew his wife Effie since childhood.  She lived in the house where his grandfather committed suicide.  His first proposal was not accepted. Effie had an "understanding" with a soldier an interest in at least six other young men.

One version of what changed her mind was her father's bad financial situation. Someone, either Effie or her father, saw the advantage of marriage into the wealthy Ruskin family.  None of John's family attended the wedding.

According to one biographer, Ruskin's reason for not consummating the marriage was the realization of his wife and her family's duplicity and he had entered a marriage with love on just one side. "She is unfitted to be my wife unless she also loved me exceedingly".  They agreed instead to wait six years, when Effie would be 25, to give themselves time to fall in love.

John's parents payed for their comfortable lifestyle and kept a close watch on Effie, "Effie was thought to need supervision: during two long stays in Venice John was busy working, she was left on her own and had no trouble attracting admirers. She wrote "Venice is so tempting just now at night that it is hardly possible not to be imprudent", leading a number of soldiers vying for her attention, resulting in a dual in which one of her admirers was killed.  "Things were exacerbated when some of her jewelry was stolen and suspicion fell on another soldier-admirer. According to gossip, perhaps the diamonds weren't in fact stolen but given."  (John also had Saturn=Juno=Jupiter=Hades which includes the possibility of jewel theft.  It happened to a member of the Ford family on a progression of Juno and Hades.)

Effie's reputation followed her to London and Ruskin himself was twice challenged to a duel by friends of the jewel-thief officer.  His biographer wrote that at this point, Ruskin wanted a way out, and encouraged a relationship with the painter John Milais by inviting the painter to paint Effie and leaving them alone together in a vacation cottage while keeping an "evidential diary".  Ruskin wanted an annulment, which allowed for the dissolution of a marriage on the grounds of, non-consummation due to incurable impotence.  The hearing caused a major pubic scandal.  Her friends used the non-commuation clause as a means to malign him "while he remained stoically tight-lipped". She also later ended any hopes he had of finding happiness with another young girl he liked, by warning the girl's parents about him."

Queen Elizabeth I had Saturn and Uranus in the 7th house
She also had Sun=Saturn/Juno 3' orb
(+ her father's remarriage had impact; she was abused by widow and widow's husband)

She had several suitors.  Lots of near misses.
.  Summer 1571 two marriage possibilites dissolved (P. Saturn=P. Juno 64H exact)
The love of her life was Robert Dudley, but Lord Devereaux and Duke D'Anjou were also important.
.  When P. Juno opposite N. Saturn 12' orb, Dudley died
.  P. Juno opposite Saturn 10' orb she's attracted to Blount (30 years younger)
.  P. Juno opposite Saturn exactly, Blount married Dudley's widow who was also Devereaux's mother!
There are other illustrations of relationships involving families that are not incestuous)

Anjou of France was another important suitor.  They never married and later he said he was relieved about not marrying "a whore".  When they met, T. Saturn was conjunct his N. Juno (8/17/1579)
T. Jupiter and T. Uranus were on her sun/moon midpoint.
When he backed out  P. Juno=P. Saturn 64H  7-8/1571

T. Saturn trine her N. Juno Parliament convenes dominated by questions of succession and marriage September 30, 1566 Also T. Chiron conjunct Pluto/triggering N. Pluto/Chiron aspect they withhold money from her; see Pluto Chiron there's a huge section on QE1 and her Pluto/Chiron aspect

On other transiting contacts the events didn't happen to her: some suitors' mates died on Saturn/Juno transits

T. Saturn station conjunct N. Juno less than 1 degree orb; Thomas Seymour's wife died; he renews his attentions on Elizabeth "intent on marrying her" September 1548

This was a different kind of transit
T. Saturn=T. Juno = Elizabeth's ASC and Vulcanus Dudley's wife died 9/8/1850

Her sister Mary is implicated in 2nd husband's death (letters were found)
Other bad things happen to Mary that don't appear to be Saturn/Juno, Mary's imprisoned and miscarries T. Saturn trine Eliz. N. Juno

These are speculations about Saturn/Juno based on her chart
.  Knew the love of her life from childhood; they fell in love years later (name was Robert Dudley)
.  Personal life involved with family members.  (this involves age diff too):  She was almost 30 years older than Devereaux (another boyfriend) whose mother married Dudley. There are instances of this with others
.  Personal life involved with family members.  (this involves age diff too):  She was almost 30 years older than Devereaux (another boyfriend) whose mother married Dudley. There are instances of this with others
.   This is a complicated situation that includes age difference too:
    P. Juno opposite N. Saturn 12' orb, Dudley died.
10' orb: She's attracted to Blount who's 30 years younger.
Exact aspect: Blount married Dudley's widow!

Her appearance: deprived of clothes as a child
                                                                                ...
Salvador Dali was born with a wide conjunction. He had a complicated personal life,  He married once; his wife was 10 years older than he was. His father disapproved of their relationship.  She was disliked by others.  Dali stayed married for 50 years

Apparently he wasn't highly sexed.  When P. Saturn was no greater than 8' from a conjunction with N. Juno, he met Ferderico Lorca.  They met at some time in 1923 and conjunction was exact in early 1924.  The relationship lasted for years.  Lorca was gay and it's written there was  mutual attraction.  When P. Juno was conjunct P. Saturn (summer 1927) there was some sexual event when Lorca visited Dali's studio in Cadaqués Spain.  Dali reported he was a voyeur of Lorca's sexual activity with a woman.  Others report that Dali attempted sex with Lorca but "it hurt".   There are conflicting reports about their sexual activity, but the date of the visit and that there was some sexual event between them is chronicled

His wife had a bad reputation.
Her mother had been forbidden by church to marry stepfather. She had Saturn=Juno=Aries tight

King John England
Married with T. Saturn and Neptune conjunct N. Juno (born with N. Juno square N. Pluto)
date: 11/24/1200
  • His re-marriage restarted a war.
  • She was engaged to someone else.
  • He was already married to his cousin.  To dissolve that marriage he argued that he failed to get the papal dispensation necessary when one marries a cousin
  • Reputation: John's mistresses were married noblewomen, which was considered unacceptable
  • Here's Saturn/Juno and Pluto/Juno:                                                                                                He sold his wife's wardship, against the buyer's will, when T. Saturn opposite natal Juno and square to N. Pluto (his wife and the buyer got married) Event: 1/20/1214
  • He lost his baggage; this is the attribute of Juno's connection with designed items)         He Pluto square N. Juno 5' orb and P. Juno=N. Saturn 10' orb T. Pluto=N. Saturn; T. Juno=N. Hades, T. Chiron=Neptune (it was submerged in water)
